I want to use your plugin.

I want to use your plugin.

But this is what concerns me. I've installed a caching plug not long ago and they've screwed up my site giving me white screen of death. I have functions written in functions.php, in wp-config.php and in my .htaccess that changes the path to the plugin directory, the css dir and all that stuff. Is your plug compatible with that? btw. others plugins work perfect.
here's how I change my path to plugins

this is in my wp-config.php
define('WP_PLUGIN_DIR', $_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT'] . '/features' );
define('WP_PLUGIN_URL', 'http://' . $_SERVER['SERVER_NAME'] . '/features');
define('DISALLOW_FILE_EDIT', true);

and this in my functions.php
function change_css_js_url($content) {
$current_path = '/content/themes/lib/';
$new_path = '/';
$content = str_replace($current_path, $new_path, $content);
return $content;
}

I don't want to install it because I don't know what files the plug creates and to delete afterward. Thanks!

Hi,
really-static's deinstallroutine undo/delete all settings made by really-static.
I tryed following changes inside my testblog:
wp-config.php
Code: Select all
define('WP_PLUGIN_DIR', $_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT'] . '/features' );
define('WP_PLUGIN_URL', 'http://' . $_SERVER['SERVER_NAME'] . '/features');
define('DISALLOW_FILE_EDIT', true);

define ('WP_CONTENT_FOLDERNAME', 'content');
define ('WP_CONTENT_DIR', ABSPATH . WP_CONTENT_FOLDERNAME) ;
define ('WP_CONTENT_URL', 'http://' . $_SERVER['SERVER_NAME'] . '/'.WP_CONTENT_FOLDERNAME);

and plugins.php (inside funcrtions.php this didn't run)
Code: Select all
add_filter("bloginfo_url", "change_css_js_url");
add_filter("bloginfo", "change_css_js_url");
function change_css_js_url($content) {
$current_path = '/content/themes/lib/';
$new_path = '/';
$content = str_replace($current_path, $new_path, $content);
return $content;
}

i used the testmodus and on step 4 i pressed "or goto the Settingspage" and changed inside the source and destinationtab the url to templatefolder. Than i pressed "write all files" inside the "manual refresh"-tab and it worked all fine.

I not recomending your way for protecting your wordpressinstallation. You may hide it from automatichacking but if wordpress has a securtiyhole, than your installation is not protected better than any other. A other problem is that you need adding your changes (functions.php) after every update.
I recommend, move your wp-installation to a subdomain or a subfolder, install really-static and use this plugin addtionally if you want comments with wordpress. I did this on http://blog.phpwelt.net/ and you never find the real wordpressinstallation for this page :-)
